Playing With Science Presentation Information

Dear Families,

Your student has, for the last week, been participating in the TheatreWorks program "Playing with Science". This is a program that integrates the sciences with acting and theater skills. Beginning on Monday, October 18 and continuing to Friday, October 29 you child will learn about the different systems of the body through acting and movement. As a celebration, they will be performing science skits on Friday evening, in the MUR, at 6:15 p.m.

In addition to being treated to a wonderful performance by your own star child, the 5th grade teachers will be discussing the upcoming fundraising opportunities for Outdoor Education. And, because it will be dinnertime, we would also like to have you join us for pizza and pop. In order to help us cover the cost of the evening, please send $5.00 to school with your student as soon as possible. Below is the schedule for the evening:

6:00    Arrive with your student. We will dismiss your child to rehearse with their acting teacher when the time comes.

6:15    Presentation about fundraising opportunities

7:00    "Playing with Science" performance

7:45    Dismissal

Permission Slip going home Monday.
