Inventors Fair
Our class will be participating in the First Annual Inventors Fair at Roosevelt School. There will be more details about this event going home on Monday, April 9th. I will also be posting some of the information at the top of this page under the Inventors Fair tab as we get going. I have added all the due dates to the calendar so you can start planning. If for some reason you misplace the Logbook I give you, you can click the Inventors Fair tab and click on the link at the bottom of the page. This will take you to a site that will allow you to download and print the Logbook. You will not have to sign up for an account. If there are any problems with that please let me know as this is the first time I am using that service.

hi mr. williams its juliana im sorry its kind of late but my parents didnt let me go online earlier i found an interesting article in the local news its about the shooting in oikos university in oakland that left 7 people dead and cant find the person responsible for it the article explains that they found a weapon(gun)suspected of being used in the massive shooting i read it and thought it was very interesting u think i should use it for our news?

Mr. Williams on the homework how do i explain it's meaning? - ysabelle
Ysabelle - You need to explain what each number represents. Say you have a ratio of 2:5 (2 to 5) An example of giving the meaning would be - I have 2 red pencils out of 5 total pencils.

Ysabelle - For number you should have 3/8 as your ratio. So to answer the rest you would say that for every 3 minutes of handwriting the students do 8 minutes of spelling. Does that help?
At Kyle's Mom - Yes The students will be getting their logbooks tomorrow. I just sent the letter home today to let the parents know about the project. You can preview the Logbook which should explain everything by clicking on the Inventors Fair tab at the top of the webpage and clicking on the link at the end of the letter. Hope that helps.

Victoria - I have looked to see if there is a way I can post it up here but I can't Can you barrow it from your sister. If not you can come to school early and get it then and work on it. Sorry I am not sure what else to do.
Mr. Williams I made a mistake on the reading logs. On Monday I did the prediction, on Tuesday I did the profile, and today I am supposed to do the profile. I just found out today. Should I do the connection today? Sorry I got mixed up. David

@ Itzel - Being in school or not it is not the first Friday of the month. No tomorrow is not a free dress day. There is some confusion about this. But according to Ms. Girardi tomorrow is not a free dress day.

Why don't you do the storm that we had on Thursday night and then add in that someone was hit by lightning. The storm is the story and the person getting hit was just part of it. That would be a very good story. Don't forget to answer all of the questions and make sure you are clear in what you are saying.

Juliana - You need to give me a chance to reply. I do not sit in front of my computer waiting for people to write me. That story is fine make sure that you answer all of the W's and H. If you want to write your script that is fine if not you can work on it tomorrow.

Moriah - This is really getting old and happening way to often. I do not have a way to get it to you. I was at school until after 4:00 and you could have come and picked it up then. You will get a pink slip and will have detention. Sorry.
